COURSE DESCRIPTION

WATER209 — Water Quality  (5 cr)

Introduction to common water quality parameters encountered in all disciplines of environmental science, hydrology, and water and wastewater operation. Students will understand natural and human influences on water quality parameters, hydrology, stormwater, and related state and federal regulations. Water quality field sampling techniques and laboratory procedures are practiced including a heavy emphasis on proper use, care, maintenance, and troubleshooting of standard field and laboratory equipment.
